Back in 1975, Wynne Chairman / CEO John Tummon had been conducting research on gymnastic
equipment at the University of Waterloo's Kinesiology Department, when he decided to
create a company, Wynne. The main focus at that time was to service and maintain physical
education and fitness equipment for academic institutions, hospitals and fitness
facilities.
Several years later, the company took the next logical step and began to sell fitness and
fitness evaluation equipment to these institutions. In less than 10 years this
service-oriented company grew to become one of Canada's premier distributors of quality
fitness products. In 1982 Wynne International Inc. was formed to distribute exercise
equipment in the United States.
Today, Wynne ships daily to domestic points and bi-weekly to International points from its
head office in Kitchener, Ontario, Canada. Through strategic shipping partners, Wynne
provides competitive shipping rates and superior LTL service throughout North America.
